Christina Pappion is a New Orleans-born artist whose work has touched some of the most celebrated moments in sports,
culture, and love — from the floor of Caesars Superdome to the altars of destination weddings across the country.
Founder of Pappion Artistry LLC, Christina has spent over 15 years building a body of work that defies a single category. She
is simultaneously New Orleans’ #1 ranked live wedding painter, a nationally commissioned sports and brand artist, a Mardi
Gras krewe poster icon, and a community advocate whose impact on the cultural fabric of New Orleans runs deep.
She has stood in the grand rotunda of Preston Bradley Hall in Chicago, painting live as a professional baseball player married
the love of his life. She has painted on the floor of Caesars Superdome during Super Bowl LIX weekend, creating custom
shoes for Amazon AI executives. She has painted permanent murals inside Smoothie King Center — her name on the wall —
and watched Zion Williamson sign the last paper season ticket she designed for the Pelicans.
A proud New Orleans native and graduate of Mount Carmel Academy — a school that believed in her so deeply they later commissioned her to create original artwork for their historic Motherhouse renovation — Christina went on to study painting at Xavier University of Louisiana on a painting scholarship, where she had the extraordinary privilege of studying under two of New Orleans' most celebrated artists, the late great John Scott and Ron Bechet. She continued her education at the University of New Orleans, earning her BFA with Dean's List honors.
Christina is also a community builder whose roots in this city run deep. She co-founded The Beautiful Foundation with her mother to empower young women in New Orleans, helped launch the first Teen Council at NORDC, and facilitated the "Trust Your Crazy Idea" entrepreneurship program at Junior Achievement New Orleans before transitioning to full-time professional artistry. From the halls of Mount Carmel to the walls of Caesars Superdome and Smoothie King Center, Christina Pappion has never stopped giving back to the city that made her.
