NFL & NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

New Orleans Saints — My Cause My Cleats (First Selected Artist)

Christina Pappion made history as the first artist selected for the New Orleans Saints My Cause My Cleats program — a league-wide NFL initiative where players wear custom-designed cleats to champion causes they believe in. Being selected as the artist to bring those cleats to life is one of the most prestigious artistic commissions in professional sports.

For Christina, a born-and-raised New Orleanian, painting for the Saints wasn't just a professional milestone. It was personal. The Saints are woven into the identity of this city, and to be chosen as the artist representing that intersection of sport, culture, and community speaks to both the quality of her work and the depth of her connection to New Orleans.

NBA & NEW ORLEANS PELICANS

New Orleans Pelicans — Official Commemorative Ticket Artist

Christina Pappion is the official commemorative ticket artist for the New Orleans Pelicans. Her artwork appears on commemorative tickets for the team — pieces that fans keep, frame, and treasure long after the final buzzer. It is the kind of commission that places an artist's work permanently inside the history of a franchise and a city.

As a New Orleans native, Christina brings an authenticity to Pelicans art that no outside artist could replicate. She knows what this team means to this city, and that understanding lives in every brushstroke.

Christina Pappion is the official commemorative ticket artist for the New Orleans Pelicans. Her artwork doesn't just live on paper — it lives inside the arena. That season, her paintings were displayed throughout the Champions Club VIP area and featured across all packaging materials, meaning thousands of fans experienced her work up close at one of the most exclusive spaces in the Smoothie King Center. From the commemorative ticket in your hand to the walls of the VIP suite, Christina's art was woven into the full Pelicans brand experience that year. As a born-and-raised New Orleans artist, being trusted to represent the city's NBA team at that level is one of the highest honors her career has produced.

MARDI GRAS POSTER ART

OFFICIAL KREWE ARTIST

Christina is the official poster artist for three of New Orleans' most beloved Mardi Gras krewes. Each year, she creates the commemorative poster that becomes the face of the krewe's season — painted with the bold color, expressive line, and authentic New Orleans spirit that only a born-and-raised artist can bring.

Krewe of Femme Fetale Poster Artist Christina Pappion

Mystic Krewe of Femme Fetale

Official Poster Artist

Christina is the returning official poster artist for the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale, New Orleans' celebrated all-female Mardi Gras krewe. Each year, she paints live at the Queen Reveal Party — creating the official krewe poster in real time, in front of the audience, as the energy of the room becomes part of the painting.

The 2025 poster, themed 'Femmes Just Want to Have Fun,' captures queens dancing through the streets, a brass band bringing the rhythm, and bold color that puts you right in the middle of the parade. A love letter to women showing up boldly, together, and unapologetically themselves.

Crescent City Classic

2017 Official Commemorative Poster Artist

In 2017, Christina Pappion was selected to create the official commemorative poster for the Crescent City Classic, New Orleans' iconic 10K road race — making her the first woman of color in the event's history to hold that distinction. The poster, a vibrant depiction of the post-race festivities, was painted after Christina attended the 2016 race herself, sketching the celebration live from a spot right by the stage. The Crescent City Fitness Foundation chose her after a board member witnessed her painting live at a wedding and knew immediately she was the right artist for the job. "Our posters have become collectors' items in the region," said race president Tim Levy. "We look hard to carry on the tradition and hire artists who uphold those standards and put their artistic twist into a poster." Christina also painted live at the 2017 race — a first in Crescent City Classic history. The poster captures the tutus, costumes, energy, and pure New Orleans joy that make the Classic one of the most beloved events on the city's calendar every spring.
