A New Orleans second line comes alive on the bayou. Five musicians — trumpet, trombone, and horns raised — parade single-file across a fallen cypress log, their reflections rippling gold and violet in the still water below. Behind them, the sky burns in a Louisiana sunset of coral, lavender, and amber, framed by moss-draped cypress trees standing sentinel at the water's edge.

Below the procession, the wetland comes to life: a great blue heron wades in quiet contrast to the music above, while an alligator drifts low among blooming pink lily pads.
