2026 Treme Fest Poster "Culture beats in Treme"

Price

$6,500.00

Culture Beats in Tremé is the official 2026 poster artwork for the Tremé Fall Festival, hand-selected by legendary New Orleans artist Terrance Osborne and commissioned by Friends of Tremé Culture. At the center of the piece, a man in white raises his hand high while playing a drum marked "Congo Square" — a direct nod to the birthplace of New Orleans music — as a brass band member lifts a tuba behind him. Women in vibrant pink, yellow, and blue second-line finery move through the scene, one twirling a pink parasol, while the historic Tremé street sign and a church steeple anchor the painting in the exact neighborhood that inspired it, all washed in the warm glow of a New Orleans sunset.

Tremé is the oldest African-American neighborhood in the United States and the birthplace of jazz — and this piece was painted as a tribute to the culture that has kept that legacy alive and moving for over two centuries.

This 36" x 48" original acrylic painting is the one-of-a-kind original behind the 2026 festival poster — not a print, but the actual canvas the artwork was created on. This original will be available for purchase live at the Tremé Gala on Friday, October 16.
